Summary

Rockstar North, formerly DMA Design, has been part of the Rockstar family of companies since September 1999 when it was acquired by the parent company Take 2 Interactive Inc. Based in the heart of Edinburgh's Leith district, the company is responsible for the extremely popular Grand Theft Auto series, the concept of which originated back in the early days of DMA Design.

Rockstar North's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 2001 title, "Grand Theft Auto 3" (PS2).

The company has been involved titles released on the PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PC, PSP and Xbox. Of these, "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" (PS2), "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories" (PSP), "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" (Xbox), "Grand Theft Auto 3" (PS2), "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" (PS2) has been a best selling title.

The company is currently involved with the forthcoming 2010 release "Agent" (PS3).
