FIFA 15 won't happen for Wii U but it will see another Nintendo format
Bad news for Nintendo as Electronic Arts has basically dissed the Wii U for the forthcoming FIFA game release: FIFA 15.
It's actually worse than simply not making a version for the Nintendo format. EA is making a version to be made available for the older Wii unit.

HD upscaling could be part of package
Rumour has it that Sony is working on backwards compatibility for the PlayStation 4 that will operate separately to the PlayStation Now service.
According to Eurogamer, only PS3 titles are currently set to run through Sony's cloud-based streaming service. PS1 and PS2 games, apparently, are set for the more tried-and-tested practice of local software emulation.

Sony has popped out another video to pre-empt the sale of PS4 that plays up its Unique Selling Point against the Xbox One. That USP is 'beloved brand'.
Give that both new consoles are basically as good as each other and as technically advanced as each other, digging out USPs is marketing's only job now in the lead up to the November console launches. Guardian's website suggests that Sony's next console will use off-the-shelf components, including AMD's "Accelerated Processing Units" which "combine quad-core CPUs and graphics processors into one chip for smoother performance".
