The 3DO Company today announced that it has signed 1998 US Olympic gold medallist, Jonny Moseley, to star in a series of extreme skiing games for next generation gaming systems. Moseley won the United States' first medal in Nagano, Japan, scoring a gold in the Mogul competition with dramatic jumps and a unique style.

Moseley and The 3DO Company are gunning to release the debut video game prior to the upcoming Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, where Jonny will defend his Gold Medal on the moguls run at Deer Valley.

Moseley will co-design the games with 3DO, featuring the cutting-edge locations, equipment, techniques, and lifestyle that are marking a revolution in skiing today. Big mountain heli-skiing, moguls, terrain parks, big air, kickers, rails, twin-tip skis, skier-cross, and the freestyle movement will have their first opportunity to be included in the next generation of video games.

"I'm super-stoked to have the opportunity to create and star in my own next generation video games where I get to do whatever I want on my skis," commented Moseley. "And let the games begin."

"Getting Jonny Moseley on-board is a major coup for The 3DO Company and bolsters 3DO Europe's impressive portfolio of major sporting personalities including the recently signed Alex Ferguson for Player Manager 2001," commented Anna Thompson, Brand Manager, 3DO Europe.
