Summary
Avalanche Software is a video game development company that specialises in producing games on the home console platforms. The company was formed in October 1995 by four lead programmers from Sculptured Software.
Software Highlights from Credited Titles
Avalanche's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1996 title, "Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3" (SNES).
The company has been involved titles released on the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, PC, DS, GameCube, GBA, PlayStation, Xbox, Game Boy Color, Dreamcast, N64, Sega Megadrive, SNES and Apple II. Of these, "Disney Bolt" (PS2), "Chicken Little" (GameCube), "Rugrats In Paris" (N64), "Just Cause" (Xbox 360), "Just Cause" (Xbox) has been a best selling title.
The company is currently involved with the forthcoming 2010 release "Just Cause 2" (Xbox 360).
