As the world becomes entangled in the looming heavyweight portable showdown between Nintendo and SCE, it would be easy for forget that two other handhelds: the Tapwave Zodiac and Gizmondo are currently rolling out.
And today Gizmondo landed a pretty hefty blow, announcing a slew of titles from Microsoft Game Studios in a deal that will see ongoing support of the Windows CE-based system.
Age of Empires and MechAssault will be appearing on the machine, as will Rare's intriguing upcoming puzzle title - It's Mr Pants. Further titles are expected to be announced within weeks.
In other news, Microsoft’s Peter Moore made a startling comment regarding Sony’s portable gaming strategy, essentially writing off the company’s chances of defeating Nintendo in the handheld arena, saying that launching against the Kyoto giant is akin to “…developing your own little operating system and saying, 'Well, I'm going to challenge Windows!’”
