Grand Theft Auto V dated as series may face canning/financial ruin

Killing and mayhem set to return, sooner than thought

Posted by Staff
Rockstar Games has revealed that it intends to launch the fifth game in the monster-selling Grand Theft Auto series - at least in America - in time for Christmas of 2004.

And that’s all that was mentioned. We could launch into rumour frenzy right now, given that talk of the setting and content to be found in GTA5 has been ablaze of late, albeit entirely unsubstantiated.

However, despite Rockstar’s bullishness, it must be remembered that the future of the series is far from assured. Rockstar faces a series lawsuit filed by the family of a man who was shot dead by two teenage American boys.

According to police reports, both boys stated on record that they were directly inspired into the shooting spree by playing Grand Theft Auto.

The industry, and especially the hyper-violent mission-based driving focused aspects of it, may well be in for a significant shake-up in the coming months.

Stay tuned.

that's so unfair that rockstar are being sued cause it wasent their fault it's the family's fault they shouldn't have let the children played on it.
