GTA V Gets Gottfried as Lead - Says Sacked Adman

If US 'funnyman' and recently sacked advertising face for insurance company Aflac is apparently to play the lead in GTA V - according to himself.
According to a report by Thenobleeskimo site, "Former celebrity Gilbert Gottfried unwittingly revealed Grand Theft Auto V's existence via Twitter last night, saying, 'just found out I'm voicing the lead in grand theft auto 5! also I hate japan lol.' (editor's note: his message was taken down as of press time)"
Gottfried's "I hate Japan lol" slice of humour at the end of that tweet refers to previous tweets that saw him sacked as the face of the insurance company.
When contacted by the site, Rocktar referred the site to the picture you can see illustrating this very story - referring to a terrible film that featured Gottfried.
We'll be keen to see if this is simple self-promotion or fact; and whether R* retains Mr Gottfried's services when GTA V ships in Japan.

well hes a comedian, so hes probably joking with us all, theres no way a voice like that can be lead character for gta. gta only goes for like black guys, russian guys, bla bla bla, more tough looking guys. i wouldnt mind tommy vercetti's voice actor. tommy is a badass

Gottfried's voice is a unique one, I am sure Rockstar know what they are doing. maybe they can cast Bobcat Golthwaite while they are at it!
