Slim Shady deals

The games industry likes suing folk, especially by way of broken, ridiculously protracted and frankly unnecessary licensing and endorsement agreements floating belly up.

With this in mind, it has come to our attention that Eminem's bunch is being sued by relative gaming minnow Conspiracy Entertainment for breaking a contract that would have seen the rap superstar in one of its games. Or something.

We'll let Conspiracy CFO Keith Tanaka explain: "We were not aware of any problems until we started getting some press on our new product. Then we started hearing rumours about Eminem negotiating a better deal with Rockstar Games or some other big video game publisher. Apparently, our deal must have been in the way because there was no other reason for Bravado and Cousins to stop us from introducing a video game that was approved before the contract ever got signed."

Yet strangely, Conspiracy states that no actual contract had been signed with the prince of potty-talk. No matter, they still want $5 million for something or other.

All very strange and, to be honest, quite unnecessary. Conspiracy should have known better that to deal with Eminem. He's not known as "The bad boy of rap" for nothing, you know!
