In something of a shock announcement, Acclaim’s Alan Lewis stated that firm is backing away from GameCube support, withdrawing any plans to release exclusive titles for the Nintendo home machine.
“We don't foresee launching any new brands on GameCube,” said Lewis.
Although the GameCube is arguably struggling in terms of software sales in the US, it is believed that Acclaim’s recent injection of fresh investor cash is likely to have forced the decision.
