Lamenting the fact that the Wii U doesn't come with support for Gamecube controllers? Apparently, it was going to - before the controller ports were removed before launch. But, there is a (third party) way around it, thanks to a peripheral company called Mayflash. For $16.99, you can purchase an adaptor that plugs into the bottom of a Wii Remote, offering one Gamecube controller port. As the Wii U is backwards compatible with Wii games - and certain Wii games, like Super Smash Bros Brawl, allow the use of Gamecube pads - this can be seen as a rather nice godsend.
The adaptor has a number of extra features too, like a Turbo button and the ability to customise your controller's button layout. It's said to offer compatibility with Wii classic controller and Wii classic controller pro games as well.
