Microsoft commits to Korea and Taiwan
Microsoft has again underlined its commitment to release the Xbox into Korea and Taiwan, two regions that have traditionally been seen as undesirable for official video games console releases, due to endemic piracy of almost all forms of media.

Microsoft was the first firm to commit to a console release, stating that the massive online gaming culture in the countries appeals. The initial phase of this process is now underway with game content localisation beginning.

“Rather than wait until we felt like we had the critical mass of local games, we're going to rely on the global titles and then build up a portfolio of locally appropriate games,” said Michael Rawding, president of Microsoft Asia. “The situation is quite clear, its a tough market, we knew it was going to be tough, but we're committed to it for the long run. We have a lot of games already, and we have a lot more coming online.”

We’ll keep you updated on all this as it progresses.
