Bandai’s latest handheld release, the WonderSwan Crystal, has had a strong launch in Japan, shifting over 30,000 units in its first week.
The WonderSwan Crystal is the latest arrival in the WonderSwan family and follows on from the original monochrome ‘Swan and the WonderSwan Color. The Crystal features a delighful high-reflective TFT screen, weighing in at a healthy 2.8 inches wide, improved battery life and four-channel stereo sound.
There is also a rumour that Bandai is looking to release the WonderSwan Crystal into Europe and the US. Here’s hoping.
For reference, the WonderSwan Crystal shifted 30,692 units between July 8-14. The Game Boy Advance just pipped it, selling 31,502 at retail.
