The High Court in Paris have received a writ claiming damages against Microsoft and its TV advertising agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty over alleged copyright infringement in the ‘Life is Short’ Xbox commercial.
The suit claims that the ad, which depicts a baby turning rapidly into an old man, took more than slight inspiration from French filmmaker Audrey Schebat's short film entitled Life.
This is not the first controversy to dog the advert. It was recently banned for use on UK TV for being offensive, receiving as it did as huge number of complaints.
