Xbox One will see two new SKUs in summer 2014 according to an anonymous source who's been speaking to Machinima's Inside Gaming Daily - neither of them will come with a Kinect.The source claims that the two new SKUs will both drop Kinect in order to give customers a cheaper Xbox One purchase option. One of the SKUs will come the same as the launch model, but without Kinect, and the second will get shut of Kinect and deliver a smaller hard drive.
This leads us to wonder; who is actually bothered for Kinect? Are Microsoft just bundling it in there to earn extra cash, only to later give consumers the choice to buy an Xbox One without the peripheral? Will certain games require a Kinect? How can we really know?
We recently reported that Apple are looking to buy PrimeSense, the company the makes the Kinect technology... could this have something to do with these mystery new SKUs?
