Could Valve finally be starting work on Half-Life 3? According to documents alleging to be leaked from the studio's internal project-tracking software, this could well be the case.Fan site
Valvetime claims to have screengrabbed evidence that show Valve employees discussing projects such as
Half-Life 3,
Left 4 Dead 3 and Source Engine 2. The long-awaited
Half-Life sequel was said to be involved in a mailing group consisting of some 42 employees.
The "Source 2" project specifically had a number of groups within it, titled "Artists", "Builds" and "Proto-games." Other project titles included "Steam Box", "Steam MMO", "Return to Ravenholm" and "Piston Test".
None of this has been confirmed or denied by Valve as of yet. And with discussion of both
Half-Life 3 and
Left 4 Dead 3 at the same time, it sounds too good to be true, if we're being perfectly honest - so we're tagging this as a rumour for now. Just in case.
