Microsoft has been kind enough to take some medical grade photos of its new baby for your inspection. Every angle of both the finalised hardware, as well as the controller has been included, so take a look!
The chunky controller has received a mixed response both with gamers and the press. Some have stated that it is the greatest gaming pad ever created, while others simply likened it to playing games with a Double Whopper with Cheese.
In fairness, the pad is quite good. It’s well made and is more intuitive than some others, like the PlayStation 2’s somewhat aged DualShock 2, though it loses out to the uber-pad that Nintendo created for its GameCube.
The hardware is big and pretty much disliked by all but the most hardened of Xbox fanboys. It is juvenile in design and, when put next to the lifestyle-orientated, ergonomically sublime studies in aesthetics that Sony and Nintendo boast, leaves much to be desired.
