The games publisher THQ has reported its financial results for Q2 2011, ending September 30th, showing net sales of $77m, down $24m from the previous year.The publisher reported a net loss of $47m and net loss of $5.6m year on year and were expected losses for the company. Sales per platform show that the Nintendo DS came in at $17 million, Xbox 360 games accounted for $14 million, Wii games sold $13 million and the PS3 contributed $12 million for the company. PC sales accounted for roughly $9 million, PSP sales around $7 million, PS2 sales added $1.9 million and the wireless sector with $1.4 million.
Let's hope that THQ's guidance doesn't mean the publisher's profits continue in a downward direction for the next fiscal quarter.
