Level-5 Announce Inazuma Eleven For Wii
We may have lost the World Cup, but at least we can take solace in the knowledge that the latest iteration of Level-5's anime football series, Inazuma Eleven, has been confirmed for a release on Nintendo's Wii console. The announcement was made by company CEO Akihiro Hino at a fan appreciation festival over the weekend.

Past games have been developed for the Nintendo DS, but a year ago saw the reveal of a console-based 3D adventure. It was originally titled Inazuma Eleven Break, but nothing had been heard from it since the initial announcement.

Hino, while not revealing any release details, confirmed the game was heading to the Wii, along with a name change. Some screenshots highlighting some high-octane 3D football action was also presented.

The future of the series was also mentioned, with Hino revealing work on a "fourth season" (read: another game), an upcoming feature film and a mobile phone service. A Western release may very well be unlikely - we're still waiting to get the first game on our Nintendo DS'.
