Everything back to normal

A brief sentence regarding the Digital Economy Bill confirmed in the Queen's Speech today makes it illegal to have unrrated games aimed at 12 year olds and up.

The BBC reports that the Bill "Makes age ratings compulsory on all video games designed for children aged 12 and above."

What, you already thought this was the case? Nope, remember that since August 2009 and and EU ruling, anybody could simply wander into a shop and buy 'sick filth'.

Despite retailers saying that they'd abide by a non-law, a particularly savvy three year-old could have bought Modern Warfare 2.

Strangely, since August the streets have not been filled with maniacal pre-teens running rampant bullying people or jacking ice-cream vans.
