Turn play into work!?

Get a decent job in the games world

Posted by Staff
As with all sectors of the IT industry, due to explosive market growth, the games industry is short of talent. Proof of this can be found on the websites of Shiny Entertainment and Rare Games. Both companies, two of the world’s biggest, have published an open call for producers, directors and programmers.

Shiny, who are famous for Earthworm Jim and Sacrifice recently acquired the rights to develop a game based on the Hollywood blockbuster, Matrix. They are based in California, land of sunshine and waves so if you manage to land a job here, be prepared to pack your bags and surfboard.

English based Rare are also looking for new members of staff. The company will, no doubt, be working on forthcoming Game Cube titles, so if you want an advance view of the Perfect Dark 2, send your C.V. immediately.

Previous experience is always an advantage, and relevant qualifications are essential. See http://www.rareware.com/affairs/jobs or http://www.shiny.com/company/ShinyTheMatrixTeam.htm for more information.
