THQ Announces Scooby-Doo for Game Boy Advance
THQ has bolstered its Game Boy Advance line-up, announcing Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase for Nintendo’s upcoming pocket rocket.
Scheduled for a European release this Autumn, the announcement pushes THQ deeper into the heart of licensed videogames and adds Warner Bros to its list of partners. Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase will also be a direct-to-video movie featuring the munchie-obsessed canine.
“Given the continued convergence of entertainment mediums, we’re excited to leverage our strength in the kids videogame category by bringing Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase to the upcoming Game Boy Advance system with the exclusive-to-video release,” was the word from Germaine Gioia, THQ’s licensing VP.
The game will follow the story of the movie which will feature the gang beaming themselves into a video game in search of the Phantom Virus. It is unclear at this stage if the game will feature the line “…I would have gotten away with it if it weren’t for you pesky kids!” but we’ll keep you informed.
