Open Tennis 2000 allows you to master all the techniques of the professionals in a stunning addictive simulation that lets you play the sport of the summer whatever the weather (strawberries and ice cream optional).

The game features the 4 major world tournaments played on 4 different types of court surface (indoor, clay, grass and hard court) which provide the player with a full range of exhilarating challenges.

Open Tennis 2000 has 64 characters, male and female, each with their own individual style that are given added realism and depth. A revolutionary new 3D engine that gives the overall gameplay precise animation, just like the real sport of tennis!

To provide maximum realism, the artificial intelligence behind the game was developed with the assistance of actual players. Computer controlled character reactions mirror techniques of their real-life counterparts (volley returns, rally tactics etc). This is tennis simulation at it's most exciting.

There are 3 playing modes (match, tournament and practice) and 3 skill levels. Up to 4 people can play simultaneously with singles, doubles and mixed games. Open Tennis 2000 (PC) offers a wide range of options for tennis fans.

One great new aspect of the game is the fact that it features a complete tennis encyclopaedia that will appeal to true aficionados of the sport. It includes biographies for over 200 players, over 400 on-court and behind-the-scenes photos plus a challenging quiz.

Features:

64 players (male and female) modelled in motion capture.

Tennis season or friendly match mode.

8 camera positions + replay mode.

4 surfaces (clay, grass, synthetic and hard).

Ability to upgrade equipment by winning tournaments.

Improved playability.

Improved realism: you can direct each shot, its power, length and spin more precisely than ever before!

An encyclopaedia and tennis quiz.

And for those who like their tennis fun on the run, watch out for Open Tennis on Gameboy Colour (£19.99) in July, which promises to serve big action on the small screen.
