MORRISVILLE, NC -- January 9, 1998-- Red Storm Entertainment Inc. today announced that Anne McCaffrey, best-selling author of Science Fiction/Fantasy fiction, including her popular Catteni series, has signed an exclusive agreement to create a new computer game title. The best-selling fiction series pits an imaginative and futuristic Earth against an alien race bent on using humans as slaves.

Anne McCaffrey is an internationally known best-selling author of over 60 books, which have sold over 24 million copies worldwide. Her first novel, Restoree, was published in l967, and Freedom’s Landing, the first book in the Catteni series, was published in 1995. The Catteni series includes a new book, Freedom’s Challenge, slated for release in 1998. Born in Cambridge Massachusetts, McCaffrey now lives in Ireland.
