4Gamer (via
DualShockers) sat down with President and CEO Yasuyuki Higuchi and Consumer Group VP Haruaki Kayama regarding Microsoft Japan's plans on Xbox One's launch. Higuchi revealed, "For the launch of Xbox One Japan is a Tier 2 country and not a Tier 1 country, so it’ll come with the second wave, that will be delayed a little bit [compared to North America]."
Microsoft
recently announced that Xbox One will launch in 21 countries this November, including Spain, Germany, Australia and Russia. Strangely, not all of Europe is covered however, and some countries will not see all of Microsoft's promised Xbox Live features immediately. It was rumoured that Japan and surrounding Asian countries will be seeing a 2014 launch of the system.
