Things have been a bit quiet for the boy Mirra on the gaming front for a few years. After a string of releases sporting his name, it's taken four years for Dave Mirra BMX Challenge to come to the Wii, which is a bit of surprise seeing as how his name arguably means more on the extreme sports scene than even that of the venerable Tony Hawk.
Not to worry, however, because Mirra has blazed his way back onto the gaming scene with this latest BMXing title to bear his name, and on Nintendo Wii, you get 22 levels of action-packed gameplay, with a whole bunch of customisation and environment options. There's also a splendid four-player split-screen option which could be more action than your TV can handle!
Dave Mirra rewrote the rules of what's possible in the world of BMX. On the ground or in the act of catching air, the 'Miracle Boy' has redefined the boundaries of his sport and then promptly surpassed them. Now you can control the most successful X Games competitor of all time. You can challenge your friends in racing and freestyle competition and see who's got what it takes to ride with the best. << less
