If you have a weak stomach it might be best to avoid this title as the action comes thick and fast. If you fancy a roller coaster ride of a racing game, this is one title that you don’t want to miss.

The gameplay of San Francisco Rush is arcade orientated and that makes for a fun playing experience. Forget about physics, who needs them? A few laps and you’ll know exactly what we mean. Rush 2049 is split up into three different modes, racing, stunts and the multi-player battle. Racing speaks for itself; we all know how to come first in the face of tough competition. The stunt mode is where you can pull off 360 degrees spins and other impressive tricks to rack up big points. Up to four people can race or play the battle mode simultaneously, so invite some friends around and let the wars commence.

Each track has a number of short cuts that can be exploited to gain an advantage over your fellow racers or just shave seconds of your best time. It’s a good idea to spend a few games just exploring the circuits to determine the optimum quickest route.

The graphics is Rush 2049 are superb, but we bet that you’re coming to terms with the power of the Dreamcast. The visuals are stylised and smooth and the game never slows down. For the ultimate playing experience try using a steering wheel with pedals because a wheel makes Rush even more immersive.
