No more Dreamcast for Midway?
There are strong rumours circulating that games giant Midway is about to abandon development for Sega’s beleaguered Dreamcast, across all territories. The move is expected as a result of the comparative under-achievement of the console in recent times.
Midway has shown the platform a good level of support from the outset, releasing Ready 2 Rumble, Hydro Thunder and Mortal Kombat Gold at the console’s launch.
It is known that Midway’s Greatest Hits Volume 2 is in development for the Dreamcast at present, and NBA Hoopz is about to ship in the States and Europe. No-one was available to comment at this time, though rumours that Midway’s Greatest Hits Volume 2 had been abandoned were dismissed.
