Rumour has it that Microsoft is looking to launch the Xbox One a week ahead of the PlayStation 4 in the US.
According to an email obtained by Kotaku, the Xbox One will apparently launch on November 8th. That's one week ahead of the PS4's November 15th launch over there.
The site says the email comes from a source at a marketing company that works with retail giant Walmart. The email contains a list of big games launches, including AAA games and the PS4, all of which will be getting midnight openings. While everything else is noted as 'confirmed' on the list, however, the Xbox One launch is not.
The PS4 launches on November 29th
in Europe. Whether Microsoft will attempt a similar trick over here, go for a simultaneous worldwide launch or prove this whole thing to be hogwash is up for grabs.
