Microsoft Registers 'Kinect One', 'Kinect Fitness' Domains
Motion games likely to feature prominently at E3.
We know that Kinect will form a big part of Microsoft's gaming plans for Xbox One, with Crytek's Ryse expected to be showcased at E3. The platform holder has registered domain names hinting at a 'Kinect One' name for the pack-in peripheral, as well as an exercise game that is likely to debut with it.
Kinect1.org, KinectOne.info, XboxFitness.info and XboxFitness.biz have all been recently registered by Microsoft, with dates on all four marked May 21 - the day that Xbox One was revealed to the world.
The Kinect's new name was not mentioned during Tuesday's Xbox One event, but 'Kinect One' sounds like a sensible choice given the name of the console. The upgraded motion-sensing camera now includes a 1080p view and recognises more subtle changes in movement, such as slight wrist rotations.
Microsoft has 15 games in development for the Xbox One - a lot of them are expected to be revealed at E3 in June.
