Microsoft Wants a Kinect Future - Motion Sensing in Every Device
Kinect is the word at Microsoft right now. The company is putting its weight behind the motion-sensing peripheral, with an intention to include the technology inside every device. Taking recent rumours into account, you can include the next Xbox in that checklist.

Craig Mundie, senior advisor to the CEO, explained the future of Kinect at the Microsoft TechForum in Seattle this week. And according to The Verge, it won't be long before we see the tech included in TVs and laptops. At least, that's the goal anyway.

"It's not gonna happen tomorrow, but we can see a path towards that sort of thing," he said, adding that the priority is to downsize the product itself somewhat. "My dream is to get a Kinect into the bezel of something like this [Surface tablet]."

According to The Verge report, "Microsoft has integrated its Kinect sensor in a range of screens at its envisioning center. The sensors appear to be thinner and smaller than existing ones, but a company spokesperson refused to say whether we were looking at Kinect 2 or not." Interesting.

But what does this all mean? Well, with Microsoft putting so much emphasis on the motion-sensing camera, you can bet your bottom dollar that the next Xbox will be a target for a renewed push of the tech.
