Rebellion's popular gun game, Sniper Elite V2, is heading to Nintendo's Wii U system in the Spring. Publisher 505 Games made the announcement today, adding that the game will include a number of GamePad-related enhancements.
Chief of these is the ability to tag enemies and place traps in the game world using the GamePad touch screen. You'll also be able to track enemy locations and keep an eye on the blast radius of planted explosives. It's these features that 505 hopes will add more interactivity and deeper immersion to the core game.
Of course, Rebellion is pretty happy that it's able to work on the Nintendo platform. CEO Jason Kingsley said, "Sniper Elite
is just the kind of mature game that is perfect for the different mechanics of the Wii U. It’s been a challenge to get it right, but thanks to our team and the fantastic support of our partners at 505 Games we believe we’ve brought the unique gameplay to a whole new platform."
Mature? Nintendo console? Has the world gone made? Maybe not. Are you looking forward to this, readers?Read more in SPOnG's Press Release section
