DICE 2013 Scores Big Speakers - JJ Abrams and Gabe Newell

The DICE (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) 2013 Summit promises to be jam packed with high profile speakers, games and showcases. To illustrate this, the event has announced its opening keynote speakers - Valve's Gabe Newell and writer/director JJ Abrams.

Abrams is the current golden boy of the entertainment industry, having just officially been confirmed as Star Wars: Episode VII's director. He was also responsible for TV shows Lost and Alias, as well as films such as Super 8 and Cloverfield. His appearance at the video games-heavy DICE is most interesting.

Newell needs no introduction to gamers worldwide. The Valve co-founder will be speaking on the second day with a panel called "A View on Next Steps", and will also be honoured in the DICE Awards ceremony as the 2013 AIAS Hall of Fame inductee.

Other speakers at DICE this year include Jenova Chen, David Cage, Frank O'Connor, Randy Pitchford and Warren Spector. Check out the whole list here.
