All change, please! The Autumn rush has well and truly begun, fellow gamers, as the UK Top 10 has seen a sweeping change. It's all thanks to a wave of brand new releases, with 2K's Borderlands 2 leading the charge and Gunzerking its way to the very top of the table.
Borderlands 2 takes the #1 spot due to having the biggest sales launch of 2012 so far. The previous record holder was Mass Effect 3 back in March, suggesting that chart games haven't exactly seen healthy sales as of late. Considering Gearbox's RPG-FPS hybrid sequel smashed its predecessor's launch week sales by a factor of four to one, we'd say things are going pretty well.
The Top 10 is full of new releases - Codemasters' F1 2012 debuts at #2, Konami's impressive football sequel PES 2013 snatches third position, and Sony's LittleBigPlanet Vita lands at #6. Sleeping Dogs has to settle for fourth place, while Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros 2 sees a re-entry and Tekken gets hit with a haymaker and plummets to #8.
