Gears of War Judgment Developer Bought
People have flown but money has been exchanged
Yesterday's news that People Can Fly studios - currently working on Gears of War Judgment - had lost several key staff members was forewarning of larger news: Epic has bought the PCF, which is partly owned, in full.
Mark Rein of Epic explains that, "We doubled down on People Can Fly. "It was something we always hoped to do."
People Can Fly was also the team behind the - in our opinion - under-loved shooter Bullestorm. Rein was also drawn, by The Verge on news that key Epic creative Rod Fergusson has jumped ship to head over to Irrational to work on Bioshock Infinite.
"Rod was the director of production, he was overseeing all of the producers," Rein said. "That's not to say he wasn't touching it at all, but he no longer had that direct role."
