LucasArts president Paul Meegan has upped and left the company after two years at the helm. No replacement has been announced, and there has been no information regarding where he's headed next. Everyone's wishing him well, though, so that's a plus!
This is the second departure from a high-profile position at the company this year. In June, Clint Hocking left LucasArts to join Valve. He had been working on unannounced projects since he joined in 2010, and previously worked at Ubisoft for nine years.
Meegan said in a statement that, "LucasArts has come a long way and I’m extremely proud of what the teams have accomplished. We had a great E3 with Star Wars 1313, and have other exciting projects in the works. It’s been a privilege to be a part of Lucasfilm. I wish the company all the best."
Lucasfilm COO Mich Chau added that the company "will be re-evaluating LucasArts’ leadership needs" following the exit, but said that Meegan had been a "valuable team member" during his presidency.
