Splinter Cell Blacklist has just been officially unveiled at Microsoft's E3 press conference in LA. And it seems that Sam Fisher has picked up a few tricks from Ezio Auditore, as the espionage vet takes to the dusty Iran-Iraq border to stop a terrorist leader from launching a string of attacks using a so-called 'Blacklist'.
Although his traditional headgear doesn't really lend itself to daytime action, Sam can still use infra-red vision to track bad guys in various areas. Our aging spy is also a lot more agile, climbing up cliffsides and dashing through furious Middle-Eastern town streets.
Perhaps the most impressive part of the gameplay demonstration on stage involved the slow-motion executions that could be performed, with Sam tagging multiple enemies and capping them with his pistol in a number of different ways.
The game's heading for a Spring 2013 release date. Get excited.
