Bioware executive producer Casey Hudson has taken to Twitter to explain, in plain and simple language, how actually the company made Mass Effect 3 and how there is no huge conspiracy about the news that the From the Ashes DLC cropped up on Xbox Live... ahead of the full-game's release.Basically, the DLC, which "unearth lost secrets from the past" and allow players to recruit a Prothean character to their crew" appeared on Xbox Live by mistake. This caused much conspiracy theorising. So, Casey explained.
He told the world, "It takes about 3 months from "content complete" to bug-fix, certify, manufacture, and ship game discs. In that time we work on DLC."
Then, some more detail, "DLC has fast cert and no mfg., so if a team works very hard, they can get a DLC done in time to enjoy it with your 1st playthrough on day 1."
Then he
explained about the Collector's Edition and, well, getting the DLC.
"On #ME3, content creators completed the game in January & moved onto the "From Ashes" DLC, free w/ the CE or you can buy seperately."
Not as good as a conspiracy theory is it, Internet?
