Wii U Not Aimed at Online Dominance
One word you wouldn't attach to Nintendo games is "realism". The same can't be said for its business sense however. Shigeru Miyamoto has explained that he doesn't expect Nintendo to take online dominance from the Xbox 360 or PS3... or PC.

"We're not going to sit here and say that our goal is to become the number one online gaming company, because that's not our goal," he explains in recent interview regarding the Wii U.

"But, understanding that the types of experiences our consumers like to play do often contain elements to them that can be improved or may even require an online connection and also knowing that the system is going to have a browser I think suggests that obviously internet and internet connectivity is going to be very important for the system."

I think a lot of people are going to be surprised at Nintendo's "business sense". Though we hear a lot, and I do mean a lot, of whinging and whining assumptions and yes, some considered criticisms, about the Wii U, in games journals, from both journalists and fanboys, we tend not to hear the fact that the general public's response to this new console has been overwhelmingly positive.

The Nintendo Wii is much easier for kids to start with and has more games taegetrd towards kids. Playstation is backwards compatible with their old games though so you can get lots of old games for super cheap. 0Was this answer helpful?
