“Nothing but 80’s Japanese cars’’ says Gran Turismo creator as future of series takes shape
Multiple spin-offs planned as Polyphony pleasingly cuts the corner
Following the unveiling of Gran Turismo Concept, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi made some interesting comments regarding the future of the seminal racer.
"I'd like to make things like Gran Turismo Concept Geneva 2002 or something with nothing but 80’s Japanese cars. I think people could go for a Gran Turismo with nothing but Ferraris."
We would heartily agree with this sentiment and it shouldn’t be too difficult for Polyphony to engender support from car shows or car manufacturers for such projects. Perhaps we will be allowed to crash older cars if and when they feature.
