Head of development at Capcom, Jun Takeuchi, has spoken with weekly Japanese games magazine Famitsu regarding two new IP it has in development for release later this year.Takeuachi explained in the interview that "We have titles for 2011 that have yet to be announced," adding that they will be original titles and large in scope. He continued, saying that Capcom will surprise players at least twice this Summer, suggesting at least two titles will be revealed by the Japanese development giant.
The
Resident Evil 5 director also discussed the upcoming 3DS version of
Super Street Fighter IV, launching with the handheld on February 26th. He highlighted that "In most cases, launch titles until now have used around 50% of the capabilities of the system."
"This time, we're suddenly using up 80 to 90%."
Asked of his general opinion regarding the 3DS, Takeuchi replied that the machine can do amazing things for they who are inventive, know and can progress with the hardware. He also suggests that graphically the machine could be impressive in the future, seeing the potential for incredible things on the horizon.
