Valve Reveals Portal 2 Release Date
Valve took the opportunity at Gamescom to announce a release date for the long-awaited Portal 2. It will hit retail on... calendars at the ready... 9th February 2011.

The development team is at Cologne to show off some new levels of the mind-bending first-person puzzler. There's also a robotic companion called Wheatley that will be able to provide aid throughout some of the more challenging stages - who is voiced by none other than Stephen Merchant. Watch the video below and check out the rather inoffensive accent that will be guiding your efforts throughout the game.

The sequel was originally planned for release in 2010, but ended up being delayed to a previously unspecified date next year. Now we know exactly when we need to start saving our pennies - it's now!
