Left For Dead Release and Screens

Xbox 360 GUI for you to see

Valve has released art and more details for its survival horror title Left For Dead (PC and Xbox 360), which is due for release on November 18th according to the company.

The screens - all of which can be seen on our dedicated game page - include in-game shots as well as the user interface for the Xbox 360 version. Also included in the info is confirmation of the Versus mode.

We are told, "Versus Mode allows gamers to take control of the boss infected, in competitive 'roundbased' play against the Survivors. Playable with 2 to 8 players, Versus mode will initially be playable through the game’s Blood Harvest and No Mercy campaigns.

"Once teams are organized, the round begins with a Survivor team and a Boss Infected team. Scoring takes place on the Survivor side. Points being awarded for distance travelled.

"If players survive long enough to make it to the checkpoint, there are also health bonuses, multipliers for each surviving player and a multiplier based on the difficulty of the map. The score is cumulative across a campaign, giving teams the full round to capture the win.

"As an infected, you can play as the Boomer, Hunter, Smoker and Tank. While playing as the Boss Infected, the team’s job is to play defense – coordinate attacks to break apart or stop the survivors, as you attempt to keep the Survivor score as low as possible. Unlike traditional competitive games, the two teams’ abilities are completely different from each other. The Survivors are equipped with traditional firearms. The Boss Infected, however, only have their mutant abilities available to them."

We are also presented with the 'updated system requirements' for the PC version - you can see them at the bottom of this story. Basically, however, you need 1Gb RAM for XP but 2Gb for Vista.

I am sure the 2gb for vista must be for the 32bit version as thats what is required and 4gb for 64bit vista...

And I am sure that whenever you talk about anything hardware related again, you are actually talking out of your ass...which is retarted...among retards.

64bit refers to how large the packages are that are processed by the cpu so a 64bit cpu can process packages of 64bit at once. This does not mean 64bit cpu's are twice as fast as 32bit cpu's. This...by absolutly no force in the known universe makes the data magically double in size...needing twice the ram. It does not! The data is just processed in packages of 64bit and not 32bit.
