United States games lobbyists launch gaming protest

Go To The Wall For Games Protest
News just in from the US-based Entertainment Software Association's (ESA) Dan Hewitt. The organisation - mirrored in the UK, apparently, by ELSPA - has launched a protest site for gamers to show their disgust at the slew of State and Federal intervention in gaming.

The web page shows images of gamers holding up home-made banners expressing their opinions against badly conceived legislation.

Called "The Wall of Protest", the page "represents the growing opposition against government's efforts to regulate video games".

We are also advised that "your readers can share a photo and join the Wall of Protest to stand against video game regulation."

Dan also points out that, "Network members still are increasing awareness of this issue by weighing in with tens of thousands of letters and phone calls to elected officials. The Network is now bringing a face to this fight, or many faces for that matter."

That is actually putting your activity where your opinions are...

Check out the wall right here.

On one hand, i like this idea.

On the other hand.. it's kinda shooting itself in the foot having obviously under-aged kids protesting on it (especially as one of those said kids is holding up a copy of halo 3 - which he's obviously too young for!)
