Microsoft has announced that Real Time Worlds' 360-exclusive free-roaming co-op blaster,
Crackdown, will get a patch the same day it goes on release.
Elaborating, Microsoft said:
"This update will address some matchmaking and minor stuttering issues during certain cooperative play sessions via Xbox Live and System Link. The update will help ensure a more smooth and seamless cooperative gameplay experience for Crackdown fans everywhere."
Along with the patch, "fans everywhere" will also get access into the much coveted
Halo 3 beta. This inclusion has caused a bit of a stir, not to mention inviting some surprisingly
frank comments from
Lemmings creator and
Crackdown creative force,
David Jones.
Be warned, 360 Core owners, that the patch requires a hard disk – and without it you won't be able to get the full 1000 achievement points on the game as the last 100
require downloaded content. The subject of patching recently attracted some
choice comments from
Gears of War developer
Mark Rein.
