Staying true to the company’s mission statement of squeezing every last penny out of any successful franchise, Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 4 has gone into production.
The game has not yet been confirmed for any specific machine, but a PlayStation 2 version has been hinted at. Capcom has shown an unsurpassed level of support for Sega hardware over the past few years, releasing almost every title on the Saturn and Dreamcast. It seems that this partnership has come to the end of its natural cycle, leaving Capcom to find a new stomping ground.
The company has already pledged allegiance to the quad-colour flag of Microsoft Corp, so the safe bets would be the Xbox and the PlayStation 2.
