Microsoft will cut the price of the Xbox 360 in Japan in an attempt to cash in on the
cripplingly low launch allocation the country received yesterday from Sony, when outlining its PlayStation 3 Day One plans in the territory.
The Core Xbox 360 Pack will be hitting retail for 29,800 yen (around £135GB) and re-launch on November 2. America and Europe already have access to this version of the Xbox, though for Japanese consumers it's a revised look at a console they probably wouldn't bother picking up from stores if it were free.
Of course, in lieu of buying a PlayStation 3, Japanese gamers are bound to flock to Nintendo's Wii, which is likely to launch in Japan in great number for £30GB less than Microsoft's new stab at a market that simply doesn't want to know.
