Founded in early 1997, the Pitbull Syndicate is a third party computer game developer, based in the North East of England. From an initial team of eight experienced programmers and artists, Pitbull has grown to over 30 staff, and establiched a reputation as a niche developer of quality racing titles for the Sony Playstation, PC and Sega Dreamcast.
Pitbull has developed several titles in the successful 'Test Drive' series and the smash 'em up Playstation/PC hit 'Demolition Racer', all for the Accolade/Infogrames group.
In 2005 Pitbull was acquired by Midway, thereafter the company was known as Midway Studios Newcastle.
Pitbull Syndicate's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1997 title, "Test Drive 4" (PlayStation).
The company has been involved titles released on the PC, PS2, Xbox, PlayStation and Dreamcast.
The company's most recent involvement was on the 2005 release "L.A. Rush" (PS2).
