Computer and Videogames Industry Annual Fundraiser Announced For 2005
Details of the annual computer and video games industry dinner, The InDin 2005 have been announced by the Entertainment Software Charity.
The dinner will take place this year on Thursday 1st December at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, London.
Last year the InDin played host to over 350 key games industry personnel and raised £60,000 for the charity on the night. This money will go towards the many youth projects that are supported by the charity including Whizz Kidz, the Ace Centre for Learning and of course the funding of the new Paddington Academy, sponsored by the ESC as part of the Governments Academies initiative.
ESC CEO, Mark Strachan commented, " InDin 2004 was a great evening with over 350 of the industry's movers and shakers coming together to celebrate all that is good about the games industry. I would urge everyone to make a note of this year's date in their diary and to book early as I am sure the event will be oversubscribed once again."
Traditionally an awards presentation and annual celebration for the industry the event has been held as a fundraiser for the last 20 years. To ensure that it is an enjoyable as well as informative evening for all a steering committee has been appointed to discuss the format and inject some fresh ideas. ESC Trustees Mark Strachan, Rod Cousens, Roger Bennett, Paul Gardner and Greg Ingham will be joined by Nintendo's David Yarnton, Andy Payne of Mastertronic and Kathryn Humphrey of Barrington Harvey.
