Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest videogame publishers, today announced the upcoming release of Rayman: Hoodlums’ Revenge on Game Boy Advance in March 2005. This new episode is developed by the creators of the highly successful Rayman Advance that was among the top-five selling Game Boy Advance titles in 2001.
Based on an original storyline, this new episode picks up where Rayman 3 left off, with Globox experiencing a split personality, including an “evil” Globox! Naturally, the frenetic Hoodlum Army will try to take advantage of the situation.
For the very first time in Rayman’s universe, a 3D isometric view is used, providing a refreshingly new gameplay for the Rayman brand with smoother than ever animations.
Play as Rayman or Globox, or combine their forces in a new and fun co-operative mode.
Rayman will also be arriving this March on the Nintendo DS. With Rayman DS, Rayman arrives for the first time in full 3D glory on a handheld console as he battles to defeat the pirate terror that has enslaved his world.
“Rayman is one of the most recognizable videogame characters around the world, with more than 15 million units sold worldwide. We’re excited to support both Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance with our latest installments of the Rayman franchise. We think it’s great that fans will have two unique Rayman titles to choose from at the same time,” said John Parkes, EMEA Marketing Director at Ubisoft.
