Get Under The Bonnet Of GP3

New unofficial add-on for Grand Prix 3 allows for complete customisation of the hit motor racing simulation.

All serious Formula One fans can now get more BHP out of Grand Prix 3 by tuning up and tweaking their settings with Perfect Grand Prix, the only expansion pack available for MicroProse's massive PC CD-ROM hit. This unofficial add-on is out now from The Mavericks.

Developed by Instant Access, Perfect Grand Prix introduces a number of new features to the game which PC Gamer described as "…a rare landmark event…a masterpiece" in its 95 per cent review (September 2000 edition). Real fans will not want to be without these additions, not least of which is the inclusion of the three real-life circuits which were added to the F1 tour for the 2000 season: an updated Monza (complete with its new chicane), Sepang and Indianapolis.

The amazing success enjoyed by Instant Access' previous update to Grand Prix 2 – which sold in excess of a quarter of a million copies – is a clear indication that Grand Prix fans are keen to get their hands on anything which will enhance their F1 experience on an on-going basis.

Other indispensable embellishments which will add to GP3's already-awesome air of authenticity include the ability to modify all teams to include their updated liveries and driver details and to update all circuit statistics to include figures from the 2000 season.

For digital drivers who need a little help – or for those rare individuals who would like more of a challenge from GP3 – Perfect Grand Prix's innovative 'Race Editor' enables users to tinker with almost every parameter, either making things that little bit easier or supplying the most taxing racing conditions yet seen in a game.

There is also an option to reset all track records to three minutes and the facility to save records on a session-by-session basis, and not just the results of a full race.

Perfect Grand Prix offers owners of Grand Prix 3 the ability to take this astonishing game beyond its already-legendary status and will allow fans a unique opportunity to keep their favourite F1 simulation updated throughout the 2001 season and beyond.

Perfect Grand Prix is available now, priced at £14.99. For further information, visit the dedicated website at www.perfectgp.com.
